SUMIFS
Sum with one or many conditions.
Why planners need it
Roll volume up by day, interval, channel or queue straight from raw data — the backbone of any forecast workbook.
Syntax
=SUMIFS(sum_range, range1, criteria1, range2, criteria2, …)
Worked example
From an interval-level export, total Monday Sales volume:
| Day | Queue | Vol |
|---|---|---|
| Mon | Sales | 120 |
| Mon | Service | 90 |
| Tue | Sales | 140 |
=SUMIFS(C:C, A:A, "Mon", B:B, "Sales") → 120.
Watch out: Criteria order is range, criterion, range, criterion. Use
">="&cell to compare against a value in a cell, e.g. dates.
